Data Deletion Instructions
You may request deletion, correction or appropriate de-identification of personal information associated with your VeldWag account.
How to submit a request

Please include enough information for us to identify the relevant account, such as:
- your full name;
- the farm, company or organisation associated with the account;
- the email address or WhatsApp/mobile number associated with VeldWag;
- a brief description of the information you want deleted or corrected.
Identity verification
To protect users against unauthorised deletion, VeldWag may request reasonable verification that the requester is the person associated with the relevant account or is otherwise authorised to make the request.
What may be deleted
Where appropriate and permitted by law, deletion may include personal information such as:
- account profile information;
- contact information;
- WhatsApp sender bindings and contact identifiers;
- message content that is no longer required for legitimate operational, security or legal purposes;
- other personal identifiers associated with the individual account.
Information that may need to be retained
A deletion request does not necessarily require deletion of every record associated with activity previously performed by a user.
VeldWag may retain information where reasonably necessary for:
- legal or regulatory compliance;
- security and fraud prevention;
- maintaining the integrity of audit and transaction records;
- establishing, exercising or defending legal rights;
- preserving legitimate livestock, farm or organisational records that belong to an organisation rather than to an individual.
Where full deletion is not appropriate, personal information may where reasonably possible be restricted, de-identified or otherwise separated from active use.
Processing of the request
VeldWag will assess valid requests without undue delay and will communicate with the requester if additional information or verification is required.
Once the request has been completed, VeldWag will confirm the outcome using an appropriate contact method.
